Dry Eye Test

Dry eye syndrome is a common eye condition characterized by a lack of sufficient tears to lubricate and moisturize the eyes. This can result in discomfort, redness, and even vision problems. To diagnose and evaluate the severity of dry eye syndrome, a dry eye test is usually performed.

The symptoms of dry eye include:

  1. Eye discomfort, burning, or stinging
  2. Redness or irritation of the eyes
  3. Blurred vision or fluctuating vision
  4. Sensitivity to light
  5. Eye fatigue, eye strain or eye pain
  6. Watery eyes (due to reflex tearing)
  7. Difficulty wearing contact lenses
  8. A foreign body sensation or scratchiness in the eyes
  9. Heavy or tired eyes

Dry eye syndrome can be a chronic condition that can gradually worsen over time. Early detection and treatment of dry eye can prevent further eye damage and improve visual outcomes.

If you experience any of these symptoms, it is important to schedule an eye exam to receive appropriate treatment.
